Alvid was a Norwegian Pirate. She was the fierce leader of many male and female pirates.
The Pattern: You can download and print this pattern with two descriptions. One version with no photos for cheaper printing, and the other with photos that you can look at on your tablet or computer as you sew the bag. The pattern is the third PDF. The pattern pieces are color coded according to the fabrics you use.
The Bag: Alvid Crossbody bag has a curved slip pocket in the front, with a straight zipper pocket on the front of the slip pocket. The back has a zipper pocket as well, and so does the lining. The shoulder strap is adjustable. This bag is fully lined and we use bias tape to fully cover the raw edges on the inside. The top zipper goes down on each side of the bag for a wider opening. The side gusset is slightly slimmer on the bottom than on the top. The strap connectors have rivets that goes through the strap connector below the connecting seam. The shoulder strap also has a rivet. The pattern comes with cutting instructions and an estimate of how much fabric and what kind of hardware you need for this bag.
Alvid is not a complicated bag to make, but there are many layers of fabric, so you might need to hand crank the sewing machine when you sew across the thickest parts.
