About Leona Crossbody Bag:
- “Leona” is a two color Crossbody Bag made with either a fabric and vinyl or only vinyl in two different colors. You can use fabric, cork, leather or vinyl.
- If you make this of fabric, you can use rubber foam as interfacing and quilt it.
- This crossbody bag features vinyl binding on the lid and at the top of the bag. The strap connectors are also made with vinyl.
- There is a decorative zipper panel on the back
- The lining also has a zipper pocket with a decorative zipper panel and a card pocket.
- The bag closes with a lid and you can use a clasp, twist lock or a magnetic snap.
- Side gusset makes it more spacious inside.
- The adjustable shoulder strap can be made of fabric or vinyl.
- Waterproof canvas is great for the lining and the 2 pockets. Or you can use interfaced fabric.
- You can add rivets to the shoulder strap and the strap connector. Also to reinforce the corners of the lid.
I have made this shoulder bag in two different materials. One of them should be vinyl, cork or leather that can have raw edges and is used on binding and strap connectors. The exterior fabric looks great quilted onto rubber foam. I have used outdoor fabric as the main fabric and vinyl for the accent pieces. Waterproof canvas is used for the lining. If you make the entire bag of vinyl, cork or leather, you don’t need extra interfacing to make this bag sturdy. Leona is not hard to make. I requires a medium skill level. Great for fearless bag makers. You can follow along with my sped up YouTube video tutorial and see how I put this bag together. Of course you can also use it as a shoulder bag if you prefer that. A decorative clasp and nice hardware can attract attention. This bag will fit a small wallet, your cell phone, your lipstick and credit cards.
About The Leona Crossbody Bag Pattern:
There are three files to download after you have bought the pattern. You will receive an automatic email with 3 links. One link is for the pattern, which you will have to print out. One is the instructions with photos that you can look at on your phone, I-pad or computer while you’re are sewing. The last one is the instructions without photos (cheaper to print). If you didn’t receive the email with the links, please check your spam folder, and then contact me. The bag pattern pieces are color-coded according to the fabrics you use, and there are labels you can cut out to pin to the pieces of fabric you have cut. There is a Material List telling you how much fabric you need and what hardware you need to make this bag. There is a Cutting Plan as well, telling you how many of each pieces you need to cut, and in which material.
If you want to make this bag and sell it, you’re welcome to do so.
